Survivors Criticize Slow Government Response After Venezuela Quake Disaster
There has been a devastating double earthquake in Venezuela, which has resulted in deaths of at least 1,700 people, where hundreds of people are buried alive under fallen buildings in La Guaira, a coastal province of Venezuela. People who have lost their family members are extremely agitated and annoyed at the government’s delayed and negligent attitude towards rescue operation, because government rescue teams would take at least several days to reach certain sites and in many cases, rescue teams did not even arrive and citizens were compelled to search among the rubble manually.
